It’s a week after Christmas and the kids are all happy with their presents especially my 10-year-old daughter who we gave a phone to. After many months of pestering but in the back of my mind there is still that thought of “was it the right time?” Or should we have waited until the age we had first decided with? Which would have been when she started secondary school in a year and a half.
Why did we decide to do it early?
After talking to a few of the school mums and hearing that not only their children already have one but a quarter of year 4’s have them, half of year 5 and if you don’t have one by year 6 you would be considered the odd one out.
The last thing you want to hear is your child being the odd one out! You want them to fit in & be accepted.
Is this what technology had done to us?
