It’s been a while, well, in fact, it’s been 6 months I can’t believe it where the hell has the time gone, sometimes you just get wrapped up in the day to day things of life and forget to share the important things. But we are back to share our experiences with you.
So, what have we been up to in this last 6 months,
We have had birthdays all four of us, Amelia had a joint 6th unicorn party with her best friend and Kylie had a grown-up meal out with friends for her 11th and me my last year in my 20’s so no party till next year for me. What else have we been up too, we have had lots of choir performances, we did ‘rock the moor’ an 80’s festive which they hold in Cookham, Maidenhead every year, this was our first festival together and although it rained on and off all day it defiantly won’t be our last.
I’m looking through my pictures on my phone to help me remember, is that really bad?
I did my first ever race, the race for life Pretty Muddy, it’s a 5k run walk or jog but throughout the course, there are obstacles you have to do like running through a river or going on space hoppers. It was such a great experience while raising awareness for cancer at the same time, it was so fun to do with the girls but I didn’t realise the amount of mud I would have to wash off, I had to shower twice and still didn’t feel clean but I would so do another, WATCH THIS SPACE!
Next is the biggest and best HOLIDAY!!! Sorry but I’m like a big kid I get more excited about our family holiday than I do Christmas. I love the sun, give me heat over cold any day. So, we had 11 days back in Fuerteventura, we went last year but enjoyed it so much and my friend has an apartment out there and stays for the summer so thought it would be great for the kids to spend a week together in the sun and make some memories, as well as us too, (Mainly of drinking alcohol and eating). We sure did make them and had an amazing time but this time I was the one who was burnt, little did I know it was caused by taking ibuprofen for my back and you’re not meant to take them in the sun, BIG fail at least I know for next time now.
We had a quiet summer holiday and spent most of it at home having movie days and decorating the girl’s bedroom. The last week of the summer holidays was spent with Andy’s family in Weston super mere attending an anniversary party and spending time with the family that we don’t normally get to see very often as it is a 2 hour drive each way. Coming into September we had back to school, Amelia going into year 2 her last year in ks1 and Kylie going into year 6 her last year before secondary school, massively scary!! We had Kylies birthday at the end of that week, we went to our first ever boxing match that was very different but cool.
Which brings up to now, it’s been a good 6 months and I have missed writing this all down and missed the comments from people reading, so we are back and ready to share more.
